The 2013 Olympic mascot(吉祥物) Wenlock (L) and Paralympic(残奥会) mascot Mandeville pose for photographers in the playground at St. Paul's primary school on London May 19, 2014. The mascot posed for the cameras on the day of the official launch. World Cup Stacking Champion
How is 14-year-old Andy Retting known for his cup stacking (叠杯子) match? Very well. He is, after all, a world champion(冠军) of the sport stacking!
For Andy, cups are for more than drinking milk or soda--- they are for matches. Like a growing number of kids across America, Andy loves the sport stacking. The sport is growing so quickly that it has its own world championships. At the April event this year, which aired on TV, 42 new world records were set.
Like many stackers, Andy learned the sport in his elementary school(小学) gym class. Stacking is becoming popular with more than 11,000 schools now.
